Frontier Donates High-Speed Fiber Internet to Expand STEM Opportunities for Students in Connecticut

What’s the donation: Frontier will donate high-speed fiber internet to District Arts and Education of New Haven, Connecticut through our Broadband for Good program. This donation will provide DAE with a fast, reliable connection to support its Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education and development programs for underserved members of the community.

What’s Broadband for Good: Broadband for Good is our community impact program dedicated to promoting digital inclusion. As we connect more people across Connecticut—and the country—to our high-speed fiber internet, we are donating along the way to organizations that are making a positive impact in the local communities we serve.

Why we chose DAE: DAE is expanding access to STEM opportunities for high schoolers and adults in Connecticut. The non-profit prepares learners of all backgrounds with the digital and personal development skills they need to pursue higher education in STEM or entry-level, high-growth tech jobs, and it does so in a hands-on, learn-by-doing environment.

Hear from Frontier: “DAE is a standout organization that is breaking down barriers for students to gain the STEM education and training they need to transform their lives,” said Erin Kurtz, Chief Communications Officer. “They are empowering students to use technology to change their community—and the world, and we want to give them the best internet to power that learning.”

Hear from DAE: “DAE is thrilled to be chosen as Frontier’s next Broadband for Good recipient and receive free high-speed fiber internet,” said A.M. Bhatt, Founder and CEO, DAE. “With so many students using computers for learning at our facility, we use up a lot of bandwidth, and it’s important for us to have fast, reliable connectivity to carry out our courses. This donation will not only also allow us to focus more resources on enhancing our programming, but also consider new programming that wouldn’t have been possible without access to the bandwidth that fiber offers.”
